I've never used Collisate before, sorry.

Sweet Omelet went to roost. She may be hurting/sore a bit, but they seem to do better when they can be with their flock. When I have a sick/injured bird that roosts with the flock, I go out a little early and take them off the roost so they don't have to jump down.
I do think her friends were encouraging her. If she was chirping, then probably just chic chatter:)
I take her off the perch in the morning too. ❤️ 6:30 AM....Carry her to the crate and feed her and give her fresh water in there so she doesn’t have to waddle over any more than needed. It’s all right in the crate. ‘I think she waits for me in the morning. She’s always the last one of the roost. We love them.

I have an older hen that has reproductive problems. Some nights she roosts/some she sleeps in a corner (I make sure there's extra bedding in her corner). If she does decide to roost, then she will stay there until I come get her - she just chatters at me when I walk in to get her. Of course I noticed she roosted tonight and it was sleeting a while ago and the sidewalk to the coop door will be icy in the morning! I wonder if she planned that LOL

lol, they are making ‘funny” human videos. Lol.

This morning we rechecked her feet.... and our sad attempt at surgery
Seemed most of the swelling had gone down. The black round scab Is NOT one of those kernels. It’s just a scab.
One “ boil” refilled with puss and another needed draining becuz we missed it . Trying our best.
And pulling her wattle down to pop a pill in, was great advice. Got the pill right in there ! ( on the second attempt. First attempt she spit it out. Lol)

I was just wondering if the yellow material could be the yellow exudate (pus) that is seen with mycoplasma synovitis (MS?) Here is some reading:
https://www.merckvetmanual.com/poultry/mycoplasmosis/mycoplasma-synoviae-infection-in-poultry
I think it could be so many things....bumble foot, foot abscesses, gout? Something systemic, meraks ? ....the more reading I do,...the more questions pop up in my mind.
But for now, I do see the inflammation less, and her mobility, albeit limited, better, and her breathing has seemed normal during the whole time....I guess, One good thing I’ve noticed is that while molting , her comb was very pal, and now it seems to be getting a nice color back.
time will tell.

Good morning , How long should I keep her feet bandaged ? I’m going to look at them again today and see how the healing is coming and if the antibiotics are working.
Only vet that will see a chicken , FINALLY called me back and is booked till February
, So it’s just you and me
Personally with something like this, I would check it daily. Probably give a daily soak in epsom salts to help with healing or if the feet look rough, a weak solution of Chlorhexidine.
Hopefully Kim (@Eggcessive ) will be on later to give her nursing opinion:)

‘thanks. I read on another post about bumble foot to keep it wrapped for 2-3 days before cleaning again. We only skipped one day, yesterday, but I’ll recheck her today. I think epsom salt might burn...we had to slice open the infected area. Maybe a iodine solution might be more comfortable for now.
im just it sure now, since it’s been a few days if we should air it out. ...let the winds close. ?
