Just found the skin of a VERY large snake on the garage floor about fifteen feet from the chicken coop and showed it to Anne. One of us is going to have to find that booger and get it out of there. No place in my marriage vows did I say that I'd get rid of any potential snake problems. I think she vowed to love, honor, and obey me. I'm not sure that that was in the ceremony, but just in case I have given her a direct order to ... I ain't doing it!

I know you don't want her to tell people that she had to man-handle a snake because the man she married would go near it. You don't want that, do ya?

my husband would say the same thing!!! he hates snakes...i, on the other hand, would be out there with a spade and hunting it down...then feeding it to the chickens!

Yeah, don't be a chicken! But maybe you could get a weasel or mink as a pet that you could keep in the garage, just by coincidence...

Right! Never could understand why anyone would kill one unless it were poisonous. We often see some really neat black snakes and garter snakes in the yard and field. I really do like them and would never harm one, but when I first see one, I jump about 15-30 feet into the air and let out a yell of some kind. After I land, I stand and look at it, give it a wide berth, and walk around it.
