Before you get the idea that all americans treat pets as disposable, I want to assure you that is not the case. Many, many many BILLIONS of dollars are spent every year on pets and pet care here.

Lord people! That is not what she is saying. She simply did not understand the Canada and the US do not have the access that the UK does to vets! That's it, That's all! While yes, to some people chickens are livestock, this is BYC-hence small operations and many people on this forum have chickens as pets and she simply wondered why we don't take them to vets when there is an issue. She understands now, she gets it! Quit jumping on her!
