Taking a Chicken for a Walk

Does daughter follow chicken or chicken follow her? Any vocalizations used to get hen to go where you want her to go?

Right now my daughter mostly follows the chicken, if you call to her (chicken) she will take a couple of steps. She's not real sure about being on the leash just yet.

minw is a rescue . Idont think he would follow me at this point.

I had a rooster, who I believe was a game cross, who walked on a leash. He was very comfortable around humans (he often followed me around even before I tried a leash) and not easily panicked, so was able to act calmly despite being in an unfamiliar situation with people and dogs he didn’t know. Though there were times I had to carry him, he did actually walk besides me. Unfortunately this was the only time I was able to take him on a walk before he died.

I also had a bantam hen who I raised alone (her hatchmate was killed by a broody) and would fly/run after me. She eventually did grow out of this behavior when I introduced her to another chicken. She also ran to me when initially bullied by the flock.
