hello, I recently posted that in the past my best Muscovy broody, Jemima once took 42 days to hatch her eggs (21 eggs) all of which hatched. Some people found this hard to beleive.
Well this evening she didn't go inside the shed at dusk like normal, she insted went to her nest in an out building. I've just checked on her and I'm 99% certain shes gone broody. She has laid 9 eggs on top of an old piece of carpet, and wont budge.
The outhouse isn't safe, she laid and went broody in there last year and was attacked by a fox, but still carried on sitting and hatched her eggs a few days later. I'm going to move her to my duck brooder tomorrow night when it's dark. It's just a large dog house with a door added, but does the job. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
Anyways, anyone want to have a guess at the hatch date? I'll find a prize for who ever gets the closest, and I'll post it where ever that person may live. (to save on postage I'd appreciate the winner to live close by

So the normal time for Muscovies is 35 days, it has taken her 42 days in the past.
To enter a guess please give a date of hatch rather than a giver amount of days, just so you know 35 days from now is Good Friday, 22nd April.
