Im moving to an acreage next year and bringing my 15 year old cat. She's gotten used to being able to go outside here in suburbia. I know that outside the city there are coyotes and foxes. A friend lost a beloved cat to fox just outside their Window. They heard the screams but were too late.
I am terrified this happening to my best friend. I know she'll slip out. Has anyone built a cat safe run?

There are coyotes and foxes in the city, too. Yes, people do sometimes build outside runs for their cats. That is actually an ideal setup for a cat. I don't know that I would want to change how I managed a cat at her age, though. She may not even be much inclined to go outside in new home, at least at first.

Good luck with your move, and I hope your cat does well with it.
