Tales from Chicken Alcatraz: Introduction
Hello, welcome to Chicken Alcatraz (CA), the chicken prison that isn't actually a prison for chickens. This great prison was founded in March of 2014, where the young warden was roped into receiving three residents of a light color. Little angels one might assume. No. No they are not angels at all.
Here you have Queen (far right), who is serving a life sentence after stealing the crown grape. She is top dog in the yard, and second to none when it comes to making escape attempts. Then, you have Lady (center), who is serving 50+ years without parole for impersonating a parrot as a young chick. She's Queens right wing hen, and follows her every lead.
Then, you've got Dotty (bottom left, hiding beside Queen, who isn't keen to that bottle there), nicknamed Elusive for her unwillingness to be in pictures, she is sentenced to 30 years to life for evading the police on a traffic violation (flying in restricted airspace, mind you). She's a loner for the most part, but get around romance roo Epic Tail, and it's like Bonnie and Clyde. Except Bonnie and Clyde were humans, and they're chickens, and they're in prison and the others are well..... so any kind of theft isn't exactly working.. hi...
Soon after the original residents moved in, three more were then accepted into CA, without knowledge that they were all, indeed, male. Accepting a roo into an all hen prison was never done before they said, was not heard of they said. Well, it happened.
This is Jiggles, sentenced to a life term for impersonating a hen upon arrival. He's the biggest brute in the yard, and isn't afraid to let everyone know that. He is quite calm when it comes to the warden or guards lurking about, but if you threaten his girl, Queen, you're in for a warning growl or a peck on the shoe.
This is Bitey (center), who is serving a 3 year sentence for pretending to be a thug only to "chicken" out at the last minute and call time out. He pretends to be hot stuff, but when Jiggles is around, he's more of a background buzz. Bitey may soon be transferring out of CA. Then, you've got Epic Tail (beside Bitey, hiding his indeededly epic tail), who is serving 10 years time for romancing the wives of other roo's with his epic tail. He spends his time sun bathing and grooming himself, while happily following Bitey around.
The original residents were in for a shock however, when five weeks ago, the new arrivals came....
The Golden Comet Gang.
These thugs are all serving a life sentence for the same thing; Illegal production of Catnip in the local farmers shed. Not all of the GC gang members have been identified, however at least three members are known; Giblets (left center), the leader of the gang who refuses to reveal other locations of catnip production. Rocket (center, staring at camera), the fastest runner of the gang. And Albini, who is hiding her face from the camera as not to be identified by family.
These are the residents of Chicken Alcatraz, again, the chicken prison that isn't actually a prison for chickens. The young, inexperienced warden may not know a lot, but that isn't going to stop her from keeping all her residents safe, sound, and happy.
