Got a batch of 25 Freedom Ranger broilers in the box right now. Last night I checked on the chicks in the wee hours and all was quiet in the brooder box. Most chicks were snuggled down in groups of 3 or 4 sleeping - just adorable. Except for one that had had his head (and part of his body) in one of the feeder slots who had fallen asleep with his head in the feeder - lying quietly there with no movement other than regular breathing.After I snorted with laughter he woke up and got his head out.
