A true sign of "love" is if they prefer you over the roost when you say goodnight.. Also the ones that stick close and follow you around during yard work, to get the tasty treats you dig up are signs of tame to me..

If I have a spade in my hand My white EE is ALWAYS right there... She is my pet chicken...

Mine do prefer me to the roost at bedtime! They love me! They really love me!....

One of the things they sometimes want is warm place to stand or lay down as they preen. Mine also sleep like little chicks laying prostrate which they otherwise never do once independent of mom.
