taste of eggs

There is no pleasing some people. Some people feel compelled to criticize everything. Especially if it was a gift.

DON'T GIVE HER ANY MORE EGGS! When she asks, just say "I don't think you would like them."

These people are more interested in putting you down than in the taste of the eggs. If you bought them lunch, they would complain about something, the food or the service.

Drop her like a hot rock. Who needs that kind of friend?

These kind of people are everywhere; just ignore them. When Jesus walked on water, there probably was one of them there yelling "His toes are wet, his toes are wet."

I think it's also important to remember that some people have more sensitive (and some have incredibly dull) taste buds. When I first started eating my girls' eggs I could taste a difference -- I could see a huge difference, but didn't notice much about the taste. A friend, on the other hand, couldn't believe how much better they tasted. And then there's the added element of what's eaten with the eggs -- the aftertaste of a side dish mixed the stronger egg taste could come out weird. There are just too many variables to take one experience by one person as "the way it is". Hopefully that one person will go on to have more experiences and realize that it wasn't the egg she didn't care for.

I wouldn't get all up in arms over her remark. Fresh farm eggs do taste stronger if all you've ever had are store-bought eggs. The first time we ate ours, I thought they tasted funny. After a few more times, I realized that my issue was that they HAVE a taste, whereas store eggs don't.

If she wants to try again, great, if not I'm sure you can find another person to happily take those eggs off your hands.

Talk about aftertaste. If you use that darn pink stuff instead of sugar on your cereal, you can still taste it hours later. And it gives terrible gas.

But seriously, I don't know what is wrong with people. Tell her if she doesn't like them, then she can go on eating her hormone and antibiotic filled, 3 month old eggs

Really, isn't it improper to criticize a gift
