Taste of eggs

I think many people would be surprised in the taste difference in almost anything home grown vs. store bought. In my own experience, the ones who find the least difference smoke a lot. Try it yourself:

-raw milk (or even pasteurized home grown) vs. store bought
-chicken meat vs store
-eggs vs store
-pork vs store
-beef vs store

IMOHO, there is a VERY pronounced difference in store bought goat milk and the stuff I get from my own goats. I was shocked that store bought goat milk was so bad tasting. Plus there is a big difference in store bought cow milk (which makes me gag, tastes spoiled to me, and absorbs the taste of the carton/plastic) and what the kids call "cow milk" from the backyard. Further, I can taste the difference in my home grown pasteurized cow milk and the raw stuff that I treat myself to. Maybe I'm a bit taste sensitive, but blind taste tests always reveal a difference no matter which is preferred.

You'll find that your home grown stuff from eggs to butter will taste different from what you find at the store, and even different depending on what your animals eat.

I noticed a difference when we first started getting free-range eggs (about 2 years ago). They have a stronger richer flavor, my husband noticed immediately also. I think they taste great! Now when we eat regular grocery store eggs, at someone else's house for example, we think they taste very bland.
