I personally don't think that the ethoxyquin is that big a deal... I am actually (as of right now) exclusively feeding the ocean fish blend of TOTW to my dogs do to one of my girls exhibiting symptoms of possible food allergies. Since switching from the wetlands formula (I switch formulas because I firmly believe that all animals thrive on variety in their diets), she has stopped itching and losing hair... although that could be the medication. I might tentatively try another blend next year when my stockpile of food runs out (pet store had an anniversary sale... buy one get one half off... couldn't pass it up).
The way I see it, dogs lives are shorter than humans, and I think that in the long run it's not going to make them as prone to cancer in their maybe 15 years of life as in a human's 80+ years. The largest causes of cancer in dogs tend to stem from early (before 2-3 years of age) nuetering, which causes bone cancers and a whole other range of things.
