Chicken Soup large breed has glucosamine hydrochloride & chondroitin sulfate. What ever you choose to use, I hope it works well for your dogs.

Axl's 7 months now. He's been lame for about two months, gradually improving. We've done the anti-inflammatory route, and just finished antibiotics. His x-rays were clear as far as injury goes, but did show signs of Pano and early signs of HOD. There is thought that too much protein can precipitate Pano. But, as sgtmom said, there is no definitive cause of Pano.

I would def cut his protein if you have not done so. I had a large Amstaff get pano, when he was younger and I feed my pups 26% protein and the vet said to put him on Dog Chow, until the pano was gone. I could not do the dog chow so I switched him to 21% protein. Also, if you give him bones or supplements, I would quit, you dont want to disrupt the calcium/phos balance. Is his pano bad?

its actually all made by diamond ( totw and chickensoup food)

We feed the Venison one to our pit bulls and mix it up every now and again with the fish one. My 10 lb boston eats 1.5 cups at the moment. He's a puppy and he wont eat more than that so hes sticking to it. once he finishes his meal in a 24 hour period i'll give him an additional .5.

My 36 lb pitties eat 3 cups and stay fit.




has anyone noticed a weird smell in the poop? ( not poop smelling- more like a cheese smell?

I was feeding Earthborn--Primitive but it became so hard to find. My old girl, Spook did wonderfully on it. Lost 7 lbs before for she got sick.

We finished up the Earthborn on Katie and then moved to TOTW Wetlands. Pretty good, she ate it well and really grew. I had a coupon and tried Nature's Recipe Grain Free, Little miss has developed the itchies. Just picked up more TOTW this time the Trout and Samon formula. Some dogs are not only allergic to grains but also allergic to chicken and other fowl.

Waiting for them to get my order in of TOTW Feline formula. Place I go to just sells dog stuff. Going with the new formula with a bit less protein as 2 of my furries are geriatric and high protein can be hard on the kidneys. Keeping them out of Katie's food bowl. They are currently on Wellness

I've posted several times about switching my 3 dogs and 2 cats to TOTW about 8 months ago. I was feeding what I thought WAS premium foods from Petsmart but putting up with barfing and diarreah once a week and my aussie with dry, itchy skin.

After reading up on the dog food analysis and hearing the good things folks had to say about TOTW, I first switched the dogs and then a month later switched the cats.

My dogs inhale anything and everything, so that wasn't a problem. I noticed when I added a little hot water to the Prairie flavor to let it soak and make a gravy that it really does smell good - like roasted meat.

Vomiting and diarreah stopped, the aussie doesn't have dry flaky skin, and I don't have to feed as much. In fact, they all got a little padding on their ribs because I started out feeding the same amount. I just cut back a little until I can feel the ribs and spine.

Droppings are much smaller, darker, solid and compact vs bigger, yellow, at times runny and soft with chunks of undigested grains on the surface.

The cats at first turned up their noses at the TOTW food. I figured they would eventually eat it if that's all they got and they did. No more throwng up or diarreah from them either. I also stopped giving them canned food twice a day as a treat. They now eat TOTW 100% of the time free choice.

I will continue to feed TOTW even though it does cost a lot more. $39-$41.00 for 30lbs dog food and $28.00 for the cat food at my local feed stores.

Soo..okay then..i dont want the TOTW with the higher protein..(high prairie one), because of my giant breed dog with the sore hips..

And i dont really want to feed them the just fish one...

So.. what other TOTW is there? Someone mentioned a chicken/turkey one?
I'm still confused..
