Taste Test: eggs from different fowl, participation encouraged

O My gosh guys.
I took a picture at the store...I am just now noticing the sign below the eggs.
This means I bought almost done ducks on purpose.
I can't believe this. I am a complete IDIOT!
You would think the employees would kindly let me know/double check to make sure I knew what I was buying right?
NO WONDER THEY WERE ALL LOOKING AT ME FUNNY!

OK-- this makes more sense
My Ex-hubby is Filipino and we visited family in the PI years ago. Turns out that a lot of SE Asian cultures DO utilize fertile and partial grown duck eggs in a lot of their cuisine and specialty dishes. Some of them are even fermented where they eat the ducks whole inside the egg....no thanks. Not my cup of tea, but to each his own I suppose.

Cheers,
M

I kinda wondered if that is what happened, but thought they couldn't sell those in the US.

Do vietnamese stores count as US?
I have always seen them sitting on the counter but never once read the sign until now...in the picture I took!
