lets even break it down further, we should be able to take a chick at any age and weigh it and know how many grams per day it will gain on average.
so, in my experience, they gain almost 2 oz per week from 4-6 weeks, once the girls start laying their energy is transferred to an egg a day.
the bigger they are at 4 weeks, the more % gain per day is more likely.
so here is some Dr. Seuss for ya, goes in hand with "get em as big as you can get em as fast as ya can"
