And just when will the government deal with those criminals that are using the peoples' wind to run their windmills, or using the peoples' sunshine to generate electricity and dry clothes? Other people have to pay for their use of electricity. Why should these scofflaws not be taxed?

The usual purpose of fuel taxes is to help pay for the roads, so I can sort of see the logic involved in trying to retroactively tax the vegetable oil. However, until the legislature comes up with a tax for so doing, (and can't you just see the fight over that!) it is a bunch of hoo ha.

Nope, no kidding. Look into the details of your state budget. Of course if there are earmarked funds, that means the general fund can limit its comtribution, right?

Well, when my supervisor first asked me if I had heard anything about taxing people for home grown produce and home grown meats, I was shocked and then said, let them come to my house and see what I have going on.......not for a second believing that the government had any knowledge of what I had going on in my personal life, but now thinking on it, a pair of women came over from the census bureau to prepare for a later visit and they were looking around and asking more questions than I normally expect, so it has me paranoid. Perhaps they could pin point who is taking care of themselves.

This reminds me of the two old ladies I used to know. They lived through the government induced famine in the Ukraine. The Communist kept track of every grain of wheat that grew, every egg that was laid. They only survived by eating weeds. Luckily, the Commisars were city people and didn't know what was edible.

It's deeper than you think, in time they will try to tax you on homegrown food, from eggs to onions. Right now there's a bill in CON - GRESS to regulate ALL water right down to a mud puddle on your property. You should look into MONSANTO, trying to get patents on every seed bearing fruit and vegetable. I have links buried in my pc for this, just don't have time right now, headed to a code class. But it's real, and no joke. Total control, means life liberty and your FOOD, happiness will be out the window.
