The wifi on the mid 2010 just decided to quit. Time to crack it open, I suppose.

I had taken apart a MacBook Pro today (the 2010 one) and somehow despite me forgetting the fan connector it is still working fine, and I only noticed when the GPU started glitching. Intel really knew thermal management well back then. I reconnected it and it seems to be working fine.

I ran some tests with the 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro vs. the 2014 MacBook Air. My Pro is a base model one, the Air I have has a maxed out i7 CPU. The Air is faster, and due to having a Metal compatible GPU, things run a lot smoother.

What is this boxy thing my cat keeps opening when she walks on the keyboard?
It says it's a control box (windows 11 pro) and all sorts of computer brain guts show up when she opens it. I'm scared she's going to change the settings of the computer in some irreversible way, lol.

Control Panel? With things like "Security and Performance" as options? That's what I can think of.

I would say to not let the cat walk on the keyboard. Or get a wireless one that you can turn off.

No it shows code. Scary indecipherable code. Pops up full screen and I always have a little heart attack until I get it closed. lol what a silly me.

Oh and, umm, Mia Meowy doesn't really get told what to do. Everything is a kitty highway / chair.
