Put them out for a couple of hours, bring them in overnight, put them out a couple of hours longer, bring them in over night, and then leave them.

At that age they should be perfectly fine, if you just took them outside and was done with it, but some people are a bit nervous about it.

Make sure they can get out of the wind. I like a shelter inside my run, along with the coop. You might have to help them get into the coop a couple of nights, but they should figure it out.

Ohio here have had mine out sense I bought them at 3 weeks old. They are currently around 6or 7 weeks old. No light for last two weeks. Total of 51 bought not one lose.. some nights were in the 20s.

Have had Cornish rocks out for 2 weeks put them out Day I bought them at a week old. 57 bought 57 still alive.

Hope this helps everyone. One thing I found out is the heat lamp deal in temperatures by weeks . Well I had two lights 18 inches off ground. Temps in the 20s not a loss.I think the scale may be off. On so many degrees at so many weeks.

Thanks! I had them outside for a few hours today. If no rain tomorrow I’m gonna try to put them in the hen house and see what happens.
