My 3.5 month old Buff Brahma roo has begun being a bit rambunctious toward the girls his same age. He does NOT mess with the older girls
With the other babies he is doing what I can only describe as 'pony tail pulling' playground behavior. He bites and pulls their neck feathers, jumps on and off of them, and puffs up and chest bumps them. The chest bumping stated at 2 weeks old, but the others are new.
I am just checking in to be sure that this behavior is okay. The girls don't like it and yell about it, but they stay right with him and still play with him. They free range for hours a day, so they have the space to leave if they wanted, but they all hang together.
Which 'aggressive' behaviors toward the girls are OK and which are not?
I handle him every day and have disciplined him the two times he bit at me. He shows no human aggression. I can hold and pet him, but he complains about it more than the girls.
He also hasn't tried to crow yet, but I've heard that Brahmas can be slow to find their voice.
This is my first rooster - thanks for the help!
