Tell me everything about the APA

my culls go to the local auction, Killing a bantam that is one thing I can't do, just because it's not perfect, or to someone that just wants pet quality

Let's please not turn this into a kill-cull versus not cull discussion--my point was that there are alternatives that still remove an unsuitable animal from your breeding program.

If you purchase your membership before the show any points you ear will certainly count. If you purchase it at the show it will probably depend on when it is received at the APA. Many shows do not provide an opportunity to join the APA or ABA at the show. It is really up to the host club if they want to add on that task.

i dont know what i would do in that situation you are probably right i would change my opinion! i wasnt trying to make this a kill vs not kill sorry that was the first thing that came to mind

I'm the one that brought up the word cull, it was meant to mean remove from breeding program and nothing else. I'm sorry if someone took it to mean something else

Actually, you aren't--and your post does indicate an accurate understanding of the term.

As far as offspring that i would not use, i am absolutely going to have to suck it up and learn how to cull. I always told myself i would never do it, but the more and more serious i want to get with this, the more and more i realize that culling is a must if i want to raise SQ birds.

is why I defined the term.
