Tell me one nice thing about your spouse!

Only one?

My dh is very good about giving me time to get things done in quiet. This last weekend he took the kids to the zoo for the whole day to let me recuperate (we'd been at the hospital for 3 1/2 weeks with a very sick child). That doesn't sound like such a big deal until you know we have 10 kiddos.

I have the very best DH. He is a wonderful cook as in gourmet meals.

Also, he has tolerated my chicken addiction and built the very best coop and run.. LOL

Stayed home yesterday with sick child and got absolutely NOTHING accomplished! Dh said not one word about the house or the left over dinner. He said, "I am glad you were able to be here to take care of her."

Love that man!

Yesterday a quick nasty storm blew through and tore the awning right off of our camper. Not, tore it or damaged it. It ripped the entire assembly off the side!

I was freaked. DH is in fire school this week over an hour drive away. He came home last night and removed the remains of the awning from the camper, removed the tiller from the tractor and then towed the camper to flat ground and hitched it to his truck. This morning he got up at 4 and towed it to the repair shop on his way back to fire school.

He didn't freak he didn't yell or get angry about it. It just happened and he worked super hard to help make it right before we go camping next week.

He didn't freak about the money, which is half of our entire vacation allottment meaning a shorter trip with fewer activities. He just did it.

I love how calm he is when things get hairy. I love that when things are really a mess you can see people look at him for guidance.

man, I lucked out!

I love that my wife puts up with me and the boys being ....well.....boys. She doesn't freak when we start wrestling or have an impromptu soccer match in the living room or keep the channel on football or soccer or go outside and get muddy with the 4 wheelers.

My DH took me for a weekend getaway down at the beach this past weekend. We stayed at a really nice hotel and went out to eat and he took me crabbing at the bay and that was fun! We caught a big ol puffer fish too. Then we swam at the beach, and it was a gorgeous day at that. It was so nice and I needed it!! Now, this weekend we are going back to the beach but with the kids...it won't be as peaceful but a lot of fun I bet.

Last year when I lost my job, he was my rock. He told me not to worry and that he had worked the numbers and if I did not want to go back to work I did not have to so guess what I am now a SAHM. I may do part-time in the fall while my daughter is in school during the day but no more full-time, she is far more important.
