Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

Best thing that happened today was that I woke up

There has to be something better. The ENTIRE day could not have been a bummer. I mean, even if someone dies, there is someone to offer comfort, which is a good thing.

One of my favorite things, all week, is that moment, on Friday morning, after the alarm goes off... I turn the switch to [off]. That means it won't be going off (on?) tomorrow. I wonder what that will feel like when I retire? last day... [click] and now I won't make appointments for anything, before noon.

If you don't have any openings after noon, for six months? What do I care? I'd be retired! I'll take my watch off and remove the calendar and go back to being a kid. If someone asks me what time it is, not only will I not know, I won't care to find out, once they do. Did you care what day it was, when you were a kid, on summer vacation?

Nope.

Maybe I'll come home when the streetlights come on too. AKA "The Childhood Sundial of Spankings". Be home when the streetlights go on, or else.

Or a clock like this:

I also love getting out of bed and entering the kitchen just as the coffee-maker wheezes that last gasp that lets you know it's DONE. The kitchen smells like coffee and cinnamon and it's about to smell like waffles, bacon and eggs. In the summer, I'll sit on the couch with my feet on the coffee table, so the morning sun shines across my crossed legs, keeping them warm as I savor my plate of hot food and cup of warm, cream-filled coffee.

The house is silent and the windows are open. I can hear the wings of a crow as it flies over the house and the sound of magpies scouring the front lawn for whatever it is they like.

Very true, about something bad resulting in at least one good thing.

Owl, I hope your tomorrow is better.

As for today... I revived my drawing skills, which were getting rusty, and started out on a number depicting a hydroelectric plant/dam which I swore a few weeks ago I would never be game enough to do.

Our puppy, Faith, has fully recovered from her Parvo. She's sleeping at my feet as I sit at the computer. Here she is!

Very happy for you! When one of my dogs (now 10 yrs old) was a puppy, he got Parvo in between his shots. We were so scared! He's had a bit of a sensitive system since...he gets lamb and rice kibble only...but who knows, maybe he would have anyway! Wishing yours a long and happy life as well. She is adorable!! :)
