It was a gorgeous day, and DH and I rode our motorcycle over an hour away for lunch. DH has been working every day for the past six weeks, so it was a treat to have this weekend together!

How FUN!!! I noticed yesterday there were A LOT of bikes on the road.

Let me take this opportunity to say: CHECK FOR BIKES! Splitting traffic is legal, keep your cool and be aware.

I hatched off 17 out of 21 game chicken eggs for a friend. hatched off 31 of 43 Rhode Island Reds for me . Set 30 RIR eggs back. set a dozen more of my friends game eggs. Finished the fence ajoining the chicken coop so I could turn my chickens out to forage on the grown up grasses going to seed ( they love those. )so I don;t have to worry about them getting into my neibours underdeveloped " garden " and took a 2 hour nap in the warmest part of the day after I ate lunch.

Thank the good Lord, I survived the day. Long story, but I will do what I can to make it short. Fort Irwin (google it) bus service abruptly stopped so we took it over in 4 weeks time (usually take 7-9 months to take over). Then this morning massive amounts of people are calling because today is their pay day and the Fort stopped selling June passes yesterday (no, I have no idea why). So here I go out to the Fort. 2 hour drive there. The place is MASSIVE!!!! I tell the guard at the gate I need building 565 (there are over 950 buildings). He says "Good luck with that, the place is a maze". Seriously? Thanks, moron. After about 10 loops I found our buses so I knew I was close, parked and decided to hoof it. Big mistake. It was 108 degrees at the Fort today.

Got the passes, headed for Barstow city hall. Detours galore, gee thanks Cal Trans. I FINALLY made it back to work at 2:10 pm (I left at 9:45 am) and there were already people there lined up to buy the passes I just arrived with.

I came back to over 30 emails - every last one of them about the Fort. This place is gonna be the death of me.

I am woman, hear me roar.

I put a few portable buildings on that base. Your lucky there wasn't a bad accident on that long road to the gate had that happen once.

Thanks, Debi. We had a great time, I usd to ride my own until we had to sell mine due to the economy. I have noticed a lot more inattentive drivers. they want to text/talk/eat/read/etc. while driving, and seeing a vehicle in our lane headed towards us is definitely scary.

I hope you have many more happy days with Ken. You boh deserve them.

My boss complimented me on a job well done last week while he was out of town. He told me it is like there are two different Debi's. Yeah there is. The one you picked apart at the seams with horrid emails and micromanaged into walking on egg shells, and then there is the one that you finally decided to leave alone til the project is done. Guess what? POBODYS NERFECT!!! And when given the opportunity to work it through to the end, the results are usually gonna be pretty stellar.

I got my stupid spacers lodged in my molars. What's good about that? it means I get my braces on and off quicker.
