Took DH and our 3 boys downtown (Chicago) and had a very nice time, iceskating at Millennium park under CloudGate ("the bean"). Bought everybody warm hats at KristKindelMarket in Dailey plaza under the Picasso, from Andean vendors. We ate baked potatoes with mozzarella which I had packed hot and carried in a backpack with a bag of apples. A day out and around town with my boys was a very, very rare treat! Their skates from last year still fit and I taught them how to carry them tied over their shoulder........

OK but here's the GOOD part: my boys were persistently giving away their money to the beggars. At first it was annoying but in the end I am changeless and moneyless. My youngest was so persistent on the ice rink with "You OK?!" while picking up fallen skaters that my mind is repeating "K?!" like a bad radio commercial. I realized my guys are kind of nice. I should nag at them less. I wish I could see them more.

OK, mine is actually from Friday...

We got a PUPPY! Hubby has been bugging for one. I'm not much of a dog person (prefer cats), but this little bugger has completely won me over!

Here she is with hubby (Sportsterjeep) right after we got her home. Her name is Daisy

After a very scary start (seizures the first night we had her, possibly due to food with high aflatoxin levels), Raven is happy and healthy - and raising h3ll!

Someone left a sack of large lemons and a large paper bag full of green onion tops at my front door but I don't know who did it. They left it there when I was not home. I called around and asked the neighbors and everyone else that I could think of and no one is fessing up.

So, I don't know who to thank.

Some seeds that I ordered for a particular type of pepper that I want to grow next spring arrived today, much faster than expected!

Now I need some Jiffy Pots to get them started.

SO excited about next year's garden already!

Sold 7 doz. eggs to one person, would have bought more if I'd had them! I told them if they want I'll set aside eggs each week for them so they now have a standing order!

DD has an interview Monday, Lord I hope she gets the job.
