I have Asperger Syndrome, a high functioning form of autism.

I first heard about Asperger Syndrome when I was 20 and was diagnosed the following year at the age of 21.

I wanted to vote before I wanted to drive.

I've been eligible to vote for six elections and have spent five of them working at the polls.

I've never had a boyfriend

Despite years of trying, I've never had a friend in my age group who lives close by

I once believed it was wrong for a woman to get a job outside the home and go to college.

You never used to catch me wearing long pants unless it was below zero and I was wearing them underneath my skirt while taking care of my poultry.

I am an active member of my local Community Emergency Response Team ( CERT) a group of volunteers trained to assist first responders during disasters.

And that is enough for now!

1. I am 17

2. I love Politics

3. I wished I lived down south or mid-west

4. Somewhat undecieded on what I want to be when I graduate from Highschool

5. I get angry when adults don't take teens seriously or they blame everything on teens saying how we are "irresponsable, immature, lazy" and we show no respect for the "elders"

I'm shy, people think I am reserved, but I'm not so I do more lurking than posting. I will be 42 real soon, been married for 23 years, ( met him 33 years ago, were best friends growing up and still are) and have 2 DD ( 26 and 21) 2 grandsons ( 4 yrs and 6 weeks). I ride a motorcycle, and have 4 dogs, 4 guineas and 15 hens and 4 roos. Used to have horses but sold them when we moved to town. It broke my heart. DH and I used to sell cars (18 yrs as a dealer) now I work for a company that makes supplements. I also have a black belt in martial arts and love to hunt, fish, sew, cook, crochet, embroider, do geneology, garden, and read. I enjoy doing research, and wanted to be an archeologist while in high school, but life got in the way... check ages above. I dropped out of high school, got my GED after the girls were in high school. I used to sing in the church choir, but can't read music. I can't wait to move back to the country,( I think I am a farmer at heart,)which is good cuz I married a country boy. Some day will have another farm with horses, goats, cows, and of course my chickens and dogs.
That is probably enough about me, believe it or not I am a boring person.
Now, I think I will go lurk some more.
Oh yeah, I love reading all the posts here, so many interesting things, and I learn so much. Thanks for all the info.

Let's see, I'm terrified of water even though I'm a good swimmer. I lived in an orphanage from the time I was 5 to age 8 when my dad married my stepmama. Both of my parents were alcoholics, thus leading to my younger brother, sister and I being in the orphanage. Zachary Taylor our 12th present is kin to me some how. I have had 6 miscarriages.

i will be 37 in May. My first 2 kids were from a bad relationship, don't regret the kids, regret meeting their dad! I've been married to my hubby for 6 yrs and have 3 kids with him. My 6 yr old son has a rare genetic disease called Hurlers Syndrome, he had a Bone marrow transplant almost 6 years ago to help extend his lifespan aand prevent the progression of his disease.
I grew up in the city always dreaming of living on a farm. Now I live on a 72 acre farm with horses, chickens, cattle, dogs etc.
I am a stay at home mom who does most of the chores around here, and I wish I could get out of this house for awhile to have some peace and quiet since the kids are out of schol for the XMAS holidays!!LOL
