Hmmm, this is a "tell everyone about yourself" but don't tell anyone if you have any belief in Jesus...Well, really ALL I have to say is that JESUS is part of my life, and to be quite honest He is the MOST important part of my life...and that is about ALL any of you need to know about me:>) I mean did it really HURT you to read that? Sheesh...

Oh my. I'm gonna step in it deep and I'm just a newbie.

There is nothing wrong with these folks talking about how Jesus is a part of who they are. This is a getting to know you thread. I didn't see one post the was "preaching" to anyone. I believe that a testimony of who you are is different than "preaching". No one has said "If you don't believe how I do, then it's fire and brimstone for you."

We should all be able to proudly proclaim who we are spiritually...or not. I should be able to say that I am Pagan without being worried about fallout. Christians should be afforded that same respect as should agnostics, atheists, etc, etc, etc.

Likewise, people should be afforded the respect of not being preached at. (again, I distinguish a difference between testimony and preaching/pushing)

I will not get into religious arguments on here. I thought everyone on here was grown-up and respectful enough of one another and their beliefs as I am. I do not get on here and preach to anyone about what I believe, religion was posted on dangerous chickens original thread. I respect others veiws, I will not refuse to reply to a post of someone who is a non-believer, I reply to alot of post, believers or not. But I will praise God, because He is my life, I serve Him and if any one dosen't want to here about Him you have the freedom not to look at my post. Just as anyone else in our free country. I hope no one is offended or takes things wrong, I have a true compassion for everyone and will not be rude or disrespectful, I only ask to be treated with the same respect. God Bless!
 
That is all very true, and I totally commend those that do state that thier religion is a very strong part of who they are. I try my hardest not to judge others, for the simple fact of, I don't want others to judge me. I am a very strong Christian, and all I hope and dream is to be closer to my Lord and Savior. As for those that do not believe in His Holy Gospel, I am truly sorry for what all you are missing out. I posted my story (boring though it is) awhile back, and I stated how I used to practice a lot of different beliefs. Yet, I did go back to my faith that I was raised in, why? Because only HE has all the answers I need. My Lord is a very jealous lord, and I thank Him for fighting for my soul.

I PMed you as well, but I just want to make sure you knew I meant no disrespect to you...or anyone.

I was just trying to say that people SHOULD be allowed to proclaim their faiths and we shouldn't get offended by that.

The only time I get upset is when someone tries to tell me that *I* am doing it wrong or they fear for my soul. Spirituality is a private matter. But I don't get upset by someone telling me how *their* life was changed.

About Me: I'm a lyrical coluratura soprano studying on scholarships with hopes of singing opera professionally when i'm a bit older.
