Tell your 'what the heck was that thing?' scary story

All these scary stories remind me of a dream I had.
Before the dream, I just had my ingrown toenails removed. I was being very careful all day not to hit my toes on anything. After I fell asleep I dreamed I was outside with no shoes on and walking towards some stair. Then out of no where a giant fire ant the size of a big dog grabbed onto my foot and bit down. It really hurt. I was trying to kick it off in my dream and then I woke up and kicked the wall really hard. My toe hurt for three hours and I didn't want to go back to sleep after that.

I have always been open minded. However try to put s logical reason to everything. It was not till we sold our home, renting a house while we searched for. New home. I felt strange about this rental but my husband rented it without my seeing it. I thought it was odd that it was rented fully furnished. Family pictures on the wall , clothing in the closet everything. We started hearing things, feeling watched . Also seeing a full body person walk around. Everyone in the house had at some point either saw whatever it was, but. Only one is my youngest daughter was never bothered by it. She never heard anything , her room always felt different. She knew what we all saw but she was ok with it. Even kids that stayed the night hear it and saw whatever it was. All the niehgborhood talked about when we would be gone lights would flip on and off. I am just glad to be out of the house. Never understood why it never showed or bothered my daughter. Wonder if it is because she was the only one who always wore her blessed metals. I even tried removing all the family photos , thinking if I made the house look different he would leave. Nope.

The only interactions with ghosts that I've experienced have been through dreams, and they were good messages, just the deceased wishing for us to know that they were ok.

My mom dreamed about this old gentleman at church who was her friend, taking her arm and leading her somewhere, just happy friend-like. He died of cancer that week, possibly that night, I'm not for sure. Mom rarely mentioned her dreams, but she told us (teenage) kids about this one.
When my grandma had to put my childhood dog down about 4 years ago, I dreamed of her happy and pain free, 2-3 nights in a row, until I asked grandma about her and she told me that they'd put her to sleep because of her health problems. It was like she (the dog) wanted me to know that she was happy and healthy again. Once I knew that, the dreams stopped. I now know dogs go to heaven (my mom always said they didn't, that animals "just die" without an after-life)

I found another incident too, about 7 miles from our house. BTW, Joe McEwen is a distant cousin of mine.

March of 1976 proved to be a big month for Bigfoot sightings in the USA.

On March 14, 1976, strange footprints were found in Alcorn County, Mississippi, near Corinth (population 14,054).

According to the Richmond, Va. News-Leader, "Something is leaving giant footprints 15 inches (37 centimeters) long by six-and-a-half inches (16 centimeters) wide in the hills of Alcorn County, near Corinth."

"They were first spotted on March 14 near Smith Bridge Road, north of U.S. (Route) 72. Since then, other tracks have been found within 5 miles (8 kilometers) of Hatchie Chapel."

"Joe McKewen, a local naturalist, reckons the tracks indicate a creature 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall weighing 400 to 500 pounds."

McKewen "said a 'big hairy creature' was seen by two boys about two years ago (i.e. in 1974--J.T.), knocking down the door of their cabin and scaring them before they ran away, and a farmer (also) saw" the creature.

Nine days later, on March 23, 1976, a Bigfoot that "screeched horribly and walked upright, left a disemboweled and mangled deer carcass

It's just weird. Until this thread I never checked to see if anyone else had ever reported anything like that. Sorta crazy. I've had lots of people tell me stories, but didn't know that it was over such a long period of time.
I wonder if I could lure one in with a fried bologna sandwich and some grits?
