temminicks tragopan

    You are in the peafowl forum, and a temminck's tragopan is a pheasant. So you will get more answers in the pheasants forum.

    My very first male was $75, then his mate was $190, and my second pair was $300, which is a typical price for a pair. The singles just happened to be a great price.

    Wowzers those are very brightly colored [​IMG] how big are they?
    I will call them fire-birds cause they look like they are burning with all those golden tones and i will never remember the real name [​IMG]

    You can just call them Tragopans or Trags. There are several kinds of tragopans Zaz, they are all very cool but I like the temminck's the most. (I don't have any I just like the looks of them). They look super cool when they display (not my photo):

    That is a cool looking bird, i better not look into these birds, might find myself wanting some [​IMG] but i can not have them free here so mabe i will be ok to look [​IMG]

    Haha I know there are a lot of really cool birds to drool over. I myself think it would be cool to have a bird of paradise, but for now I will be sticking with just peafowl.

    thank you guys for all the information i will most likely stay waterfowl mainly because they are cheap and fun and i will try to get some pretty cool birds maybe a little in the future i will get a few pheasant or quail.
