temp range

Hi all, my 1st time incubating, set 2 days ago I'm getting fluctuation between 98-100.2. Is this a good range? Also my humidity is staying around 45-51 I have both chicken and quail eggs in the bator.

Is you incubator still or forced air? mine is forced air and thats where I kept mine. They are hatching now. our of 23 eggs so far have 14 babies and 2 more pipped.

Try to keep it on the higher end of your temp range but dont worry I think it will be ok so long as you dont have major swings. I know right after the first one of mine hatched my temp humidity started jumping all over. up down. Took me awhile to stablize. then worried if I had hurt them, but guess not they are hatching like crazy.

They will hatch like that but its more vereation than I like to see. What kind of incubator is it?

its a little giant still air incubator I can order a fan for it but will have to wait till the next clutch.

Doesn't the temp need to be a little higher for a still air? Thought I read that somewhere.

101*F at the top of the eggs is the ideal for that incubator with no fan.
