    Hi,

I would like to show a "cage" I had to make in a hurry to house a trio of white button quail some one gave me.

It's very simple to make, from a cardboard box from the supermarket , some wire and a bit of tape. If made smaller, they can be used to house single or an injured bird if you wished.

They can last about a month before coming damp, plenty of time to make a permanate cage.

good thinking [IMG] but, i would put a layer of plastic over the bottom and alittle bit on the sides, so if the waterer fell or it got wet, it wouldnt make the cardboard fall apart. but that just my .002

Looks cool! I'll have to try that I always have more coturnix coming in from hatches so if I need the space and dont have the time. I'll have to try it.

I've used boxes for cages before, for coturnix. My first quad of jumbos was in the house until they were at least 3 months old (they were already laying). I just put an absorbent puppy pad underneath the waterer, to catch any spills [IMG]

    Very nice temp cage Ironsun!
