Tennessee

Hello. I live in Hohenwald TN.
I'm a very newbie here at BYC and this my first post since new member introductions.
I have been devoting all my time to what I've been calling "chicken collage". Meaning I am
studying ( 24 hours a day it seems ) to learn as much as I can about caring for chickens from 1 day to long life.
Today I got my first chicks in eight years.
4 Silver-Laced Wyandottes.
3 Blue Andalusians
2 Buff Orpingtons
Was going to get GLW and BR also but wasn't told they were differant ages when I called asking what chicks they had. My bad for
assumeing they all would be newly hatched. The GLW-BR- and EE's were at least 2 weeks old judging from there size so I didn't get them. Tomorrow they will have a new order of EE's coming in I'm going to get and maybe Set up brooder number 3 having a total of 4brooders for different aged birds! I'm calling every feed store surrounding me
daily still hoping for one of them to get the assorted Bantams..... And
this was way way to long of a chicken obssed rant! Sorry
What i meant to post was , Hello fellow Tennessen's!

I live in Tipton County, right up against the Mississippi River.

I'm in the process of building a backyard coop, and will probably start with chicks from Tractor Supply...if I can convince them to sell me only three. (Store policy is that they sell chicks for agricultural purposes only, and you have to buy six...)
