Max, Most of my gang is getting to the two year mark so will have to start bringing in some new ones. You can get some chicks from Tractor Supply they usually get them in on Tuesday and they go fast.. there is one on hwy 64 in the cordova area. Just don't buy the Cornish X Rocks, they are not layers.

They usually require you to buy 6 chicks. Don't worry if that is more than you wanted because that gives you some extras to hedge against mortal accidents while they are growing up. And if they make it then you can sell them.

Ask them nicely and they have on occasion let you get less, it just depends.

We're just getting started and have gotten everything from Tractor Supply in town so I'm still figuring out what we have so far lol . I know we've got 2 silkies and 2 leghorns, and 4 reds that I think are RIRs. The rest are still up for debate .
