I'm getting 12 baby Maran chickies this Sunday from a breeder in oh I can't spell the name,LOL but I'm getting them,lol

Oh poo they did hatch out new rooster, so I have to wait till next month

but at lest I'm still getting them

Hello East TN,
I have noticed that several of you are my neighbor. I live in Maynardville (just north of Knoxille) and work in Knoxville. My son and I are newbie chicken keepers. We have 5 RIRs and 6 unidentifieds from TSC. We have 25 chicks coming soon as a 4-H project so I'm trying not to stop at TSC which always results in a chick purchase! I can't help myself, its like a drug. My son wants to hatch some eggs of his own so I've located him an incubator. I wanted to ask my neighboring BYC family for eggs to hatch. We don't really about breed, we love them all. We are planning on raising them for egg layers so they won't be used for meat. My son is totally against that. He must think that chicken mcnuggets grow on trees! lol. Anyways, I am willing to pay for a couple dozen eggs, just want something with a proven hatch rate as I don't want him to be disappointed if a bunch don't hatch. PM if you have some you'd like to sell me, I'd be willing to drive a bit to get them.

from your crazy E. TN. neighbors. Sorry, don't have any eggs to hatch (no rooster!). Sounds like you've already caught the bug though.

HI Louis, I have never been to a trade day. What is it like and do they sale chicks out right? I would love some ture Ameraucana's. What time will this one start? I would like to come. Thank you for posting it.​

Oooohhhh. I used to

over the white faced black spanish at the shows!! But now I'm covered up with bantams.

I would love to come to this trade day. If I bring 3 4-5 month old silkies and some 4-5 week old d'Uccles would I be allowed to sell them?
Would anyone be interested in them?​

Yes everyone is welcome to come and buy, sell, trade or just look. Their will be a $5.00 set up fee for sellers.We will be starting at daylight and will stay until everyone leaves. If we have a good turn out with further interest we may do these monthly thru the summer Louis
