Hi. My 24 week chicken was having a tough time walking I checked her and she seemed fine. A few days later I noticed a lump the size of a tennis ball, filled with fluid. A friend of mine who is a DR lanced it and it was drained. 9 days ago. She is having a tough time walking still and the lump is still there just not filled with fluid. She is eating and drinking fine. Also, pooping fine. She just does not want to walk. I am new to this forum I attached an image from 5 days ago but not sure it attached. The image is from 12/22

There are no chicken vets around where I am, which completely baffles me.

I would watch it to see if it gets better or if it grows larger. Tumors in chickens can just be tumors, viruses can cause some, and cysts may be due to ingrown feathers, peck wounds, etc. If you should lose her someday, you can usually get a necropsy through the state vet to get a diagnosis of the type of tumor, or if there is an illness.

Thank you. Good to know. I did Inject an antibiotic in her this afternoon. I am praying it helps.
