Could I use a tent as a duck coop? Would a tent be predator proof?I need a portable coop, please post pictures of your coops!

Definitely not! A tent is a flimsy piece of fabric, it would in no way stop any type of predator. You need a solid coop made of wood or metal or plastic.

I went camping with my dog once, he decided he needed to go potty, and so scratched his own dog door through the side of the tent in nothing flat. And yes, I was in the tent at the time.

Point is....tents are not at all predator proof.....

I think its a great idea! I think a tent would be just as sade or safer than a wooden coop. Its completely enclosed, offers great ventilation and space! I live in an area where raccoons and possums are the biggest threats to my ducks and I think that it can be easily modified to close the zippers to make it accessible to us, but impossible for predators. Wonderful idea! Not everyone has the money to afford expensive building supplies and that when its time to get creative and this is it! Thank you!
