Terra Nova

I watched it. Wasn't really impressed. I think the story line is already a bit stagnant, and it's too "utopia" for me. I'd like more action and conflict in the story because the acting isn't making up for the lack of it.

The show is getting worse... similar to Glee.

You know what really bugs me about this show? It doesn't address the chronological collapse scenario.

OK, to put it in a nutshell, once time travel is invented, this scenario is inevitable. Essentially, the universe, in its infinite vastness, is going to become a crapstorm at SOME point. Stars burn out, supernova, etc. rendering once habitable worlds uninhabitable with possibly no world to migrate to. But that's OK because there is time travel, right?! Wrong! Because once the poo hits the fan, the race boogies on outta there using their time machine to go into the PAST. And guess what? When it happens again countless ages later, they do the same thing! Which leads to time traveling refugees times infinity.

My guess isn't that they have time traveled at all, but have slipped into an alternate universe. This eliminates the whole time travel paradox. Admittedly, I missed the first episode, so I may be missing key info.

I'm going to try to catch the first one on Hulu and see if any of the stuff that makes no sense to me gets explained. I'm giving it a few more weeks, but so far it seems to be missing something.

That's an interesting thought. It would explain the flowers, modern trees, and birds. Of course, all of those could have been brought through, either intentionally or unintentionally, through the portal.

I found the plot and storylines to be blasé from the beginning. However, now I'm finally starting to see an actual storyline beginning to form.
