The last chickie just hatched, and i got to watch! The only one of this hatch that I got the priviledge of watching. I never get tired of that! Just amazing!





So now I have 9 ss chicks and 7 ss/ee mutts. Anyone need any chickies?

Telling them apart is gonna be tricky!

Yes I am very pleased. I got the deluxe version with the humidity pail, the acrylic door, and electronic thermometer.

This is my first hatch using my own eggs, which of course makes a difference. My first hatch ever was buff orpington shipped eggs, and out of 18 shipped, 6 hatched successfully. The next one was bbs orps and was horrible - all the shipped eggs were bad. Then I got another shipment of bbs orps from someone else, and out of 12 eggs, I had 7 hatch successfully.

So basically there is no comparison between local eggs and shipped eggs!
