It may actually be fixed now. Here is a thread of many I know for sure it wasn't working on.

Before when I clicked the photo it wouldn't even let me open them. (Hence why I couldn't zoom.) But now it does and brings them to the photo viewing place.

You can still click “insert” or trash, and the size, but this is frustrating.

You can also right click on an image, and then click "Open link in new tab", and that'll take you to the page which has those embed links. And then there is also this editor button to embed gallery images:

It'll open an overlay with your gallery images, then you can select which ones you wish to embed.

the camera icon is impossible to use.

For me. Like @WannaBeHillBilly, I want to see the bb code for both the thumbnail and the full-size image. I use the bb code every time I format a contest.
