Hrm, are you sure that's a Golden Comet? It has the coloration of a hen, but the earmarks of a rooster. If you hadn't stated that you got it from a store, I'd say it's possibly a second generation Gold Comet (which are not sexable by color).

Well, dog gone it. He really is a Henry!! He got frisky with a hen last night. My kids thougt that he was attacking!!! It's a shame!! He is so beautiful, but we can't keep him. Thank you for all the feedback!!

I bought 4 TTs from Tractor Supply 12 weeks ago and oh my goodness! These chickens are so much fun and very sweet! Just one thing is that these chickens are very flighty!!! If you try to pick one up they will fly all over the place! One of the chicks I bought always gets out! Lacey is a escape artist! Oh yeah by way, they get very large combs.
