I'll leave the pee & other "stuff" alone on this one but I would mark the females with the blue zip ties & dinner I mean males without. The females better hope they don't lose there zip ties.
Quote:
The reason I only mark males is because I mark ones that are crowing or foaming for sure. I start marking them when they start crowing, so the crower/foamers get a band, and the non-crower/non-foamers don't. Once it's been long enough that all the males should be marked, I pick the best one (if I'm keeping any) and the rest go to auction.
'pee' is not the right word but quote 'Males also have a cloacal gland, a bulbous structure located at the upper edge of the vent which secretes a white, foamy material. This unique gland can be used to assess the reproductive fitness of the males (Cheng, Hickman and McIntyre (1985). '
Shelley Its Easier To Pluck Them With The Feet On ( Use The Feet For Handles) Sometimes The Zip Ties Can Get In The Way Of Plucking If They Slide Up The Legs... And Besideswhy Waste The Zip Tie? I Figure For Every 5 Thousand Zip Ties I Save I Have Saved Enough Money To Buy 12-16 Ounces Worth Of Feed (lol)
