Howdy fellow Texans!! I'm about 40mi E of San Antonio! Victim of serious chicken math

....over 30 breeds, bantam and LF, plus a variety of ducks - magpie, cayuga, runners, rouens, swedish, khaki campbells and pekins. Over 400 in total. They're mostly the "dreaded hatchery stock" except for some recent additions I found locally, but they're all gorgeous, of course. Add 16 rescued cats (plus more strays finding us daily), 4 pet ferrets and a crazy, noisy parrot. Life is NOT boring here!!

We are starting to thin down the flock a bit to focus on the breeds we enjoy most, so maybe I'll find some sanity some time this year!

wow hwow do you do it?
i got 25 chickens ,2 dogs, a rabbit , a turtel, a turtise, 15 quails , and 9 baby chicks, and the newest addition is a goat

Haha!!! I didn't even tell you how many I have XD I have, literally, 100 chickens, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 ferrets, 1 frog (Pacman), 1 lizard (Green Iguana), and 2 snakes (Corns) I love my furry, feathered, and scaly babies I have 113 babies

Edited to add: Yes! They are a handful!!

Greetings from the San Antonio area! I'm also a chicken math victim (but nothing like ChixAddict!). I have:

3 Barred Rocks,
2 EEs,
2 Welsummers,
2 Buff Brahmas,
1 WC Black Polish,
2 Cornish,
1 BBW turkey

I greatly enjoy my birds. They're a very relaxing and very productive hobby.

My husband is retired. I work. He gets to take care of most of the feeding/watering chores. IF we ever get caught up on building housing for everyone, which consumes every other waking moment, we might get time to actually enjoy the chickens!

Actually, I have my favorites already and I try to visit with them every day. With flock members raising in age from 4 weeks to 6 months, keeping an eye on health issues is another full time job!!

I thought we had a lot of animals when we had three cats, six ferrets and 2 doves!!

What're ya gonna do?? Right??
