I got 2 free movie rentals from TWC in the mail. One for July and one for August. I watched The Book Thief Friday night. It's a good movie.

I don't know what to get for August. The last movie I went to in a theater was the first Hobbit movie. What are some good movies to watch? I try to stay away from 'R' rated movies and I am not into violent, bloody movies.

thanks for the warm welcome ya'll!! We can't wait to get started, but we are waiting to close on the house. Then we can dig in and get things going. I might try to have some kind of a fall garden, it'll be so weird not to have something growing.

Welcome to Tyler!! I live south of Tyler about 6 mile from the city limits just outside of whitehouse. It does freeze here in the winter but only for a few weeks out of the year. Well most years that is this past it was like all over a hard winter.( you know with global warming going on and all it was a long winter) i do not have that breed of chickens but I do have RIR, barred rock, EE and black silkies. That's for now waiting for spring to add more. And watch out Liza will want pics of every thing you can post. Not that she ever post pics herself.

Her birthday is Saturday. I usually make her some jewelry but I have made her so much I am trying to give her other things now. I love how this folds up for storage. Such clever design.

I'm thinking I need to buy me some chicks for my birthday.

Now that really hurt.

Here goes:

1 dozen eggs. Aren't they cute? The 4 large ones are from Lena (Australorp, from last flock). The rest are from my 21 wks. old pullets. We know the little ones have yolk in them. How much would you sell them for? Or do we wait until they get bigger?



This is what is going on at my house last week and this week. We are getting a metal roof put on the house and garage. Our roofer is patenting his idea. He is putting radiant barrier (silver) down first after removing all the shingles. He then crisscrosses with slats. The metal roof will go on last. The crisscross slats will help the air flow under the roof. This in turn will keep the attic cooler and hopefully the A/C will not run as much. We shall see if it works.











Did I pay my penance? Did I put enough pictures on for you all?
