I have an egg harasser! lol
A lady at work was complaining because, the lady who has been selling her eggs isn't getting as much.
I explained to her that .chickens get hot too! And production can slow down. Who wants to do all that work in that kind of heat??
I told her if I had extras I'd be happy to sell her some, but I only have 5 layers and...it's summer for them too.

Plus my kids love eggs.

Well I brought her a dozen last week. And now everyday she asks if I have more...
Um....don't call me, I'll call you

We get 3-5 a day, but we have them for breakfast on the weekends, and had some for dinner yesterday (poached over mushrooms..mmmmm)
I'll get a few more layers in the late winter, early spring but..

How come you mistreat your chickens???

Lisa :)
Well, Confucius said "Rich chicken man does what he wants, poor chicken man does what he can". So my solution is .... let check the Mega jackpot to see if this is the right time to invest my $5 this week. Who knows ... if I don't hit the jackpot, I may have hit the bottom of my pocket.

@hungnguyen ~ I saw a lot of ships in Galveston. I don't think any were chicken ships!

You'll like the leg bands. We used them when I was a kid. Daddy would put them on the chickens and use the smaller ones for his pigeons. We raised racing pigeons.

How's little Charlie doing?

I don't think there are chicken on the ships ... b'cause they can't swim.

Charlie is learning to move by himself, sliding very well now, so his grandpa had to take the bed frame away; time to put the mattress onto the floor so he can free to go where he wants, the sky is the limit. At 4 mo date, a friend stopped by to take some photos but I cannot post here since ... he was naked (a true Vietnam naked GaNoi). Back there, they love to take naked pix of baby as this is a tradition. Overhere, only a few on a registered list love to do that.

All I can say is remember me when you hit the jackpot!!

I think you would be surprise the number of families that take naked pictures of their babies. They are adorable!

Funny! And not. I'd go nuts with her pestering....

I find the bottom of my pocket way too frequently.

I saw a photo of chickens swimming in a pool. They probably float more than swim.
Everyone takes naked baby photos of their own kids. It's when the kids belong to others that it is wrong.

I deleted all the history plus everything else and now all is well. Not sure what happened.

My phone has been not working most of the afternoon due to some outage (read someone cut something they should not have - I think). I can't work without the phone. Not going to use my cell for that either. It's past 5:00 now so I guess I will give up on waiting and do something else. Not that I have been twiddling my thumbs all afternoon....

That is one thing I won't like about selling my extra eggs. There is always one or two who seem to go overboard. I haven't sold any yet. They are still small, and would feel bad about selling them to people. I have give some to my mom. Just gave her a 2nd doz on Monday. I've got 2 more in the fridge and about 8 in my "keep" carton.

Actually, I think it is a law that requires all parents to take naked pics of the children just so we can show them many years later and embarrass the heck out of our kids!

They just look so sweet and innocent when they are in their birthday suits!

I don't use safari, but glad you got it working again. I was having trouble posting a couple weeks ago using chrome.

Long day at work, glad I'm home. I had my granddaughter with me and she was really great. A friend dropped off some figs at the shop, so I'm in the process of putting them up before they go bad. I love figs, but they don't keep very well.

I got my first poopy egg today. It was laid on the coop floor, and got rolled onto a fresh poop drop. What do ya'll do with them? Wash and eat or feed to the chickens? It stained the shell pretty good.

I wash mine and eat them too. Nobody has died of it or even got remotely sick from it. Must be all those good-for-your-immunity-bacteria you get from having chickens to start with!
