He changed the subject pretty quickly...can't imagine why!

Dear Brookshield,
You should not push him that hard, maybe he doesn't like Serama. Be nice and always allow the other plenty of choices. Let's reply with three (3) choices:
A. A cashier check for $1000
B. A young frizzled Serama
C. All of the above


Sit back and relax, let the man make his choice ... and respect his decision.

You need to put pictures around the house, in his wallet, his car, etc. Wouldn't hurt to put the dealer's name/number on the picture. Whatever you do, don't let him know where you got the help from.

Such good advice on here today! It's a shame I don't have anyone to try it out on. :(


There is a possibility of a puppy litter (same breeder as I got Sasha from) coming up that will have Sable pups. I really want a sable puppy. If I get a puppy I will have to put getting chickens off for a bit longer. This is a hard decision to make! I have some time before I have to make it though. The female hasn't even come into season yet - she will be soon though.

I explained to her that .chickens get hot too! And production can slow down. Who wants to do all that work in that kind of heat??
I told her if I had extras I'd be happy to sell her some, but I only have 5 layers and...it's summer for them too.

Plus my kids love eggs.

Well I brought her a dozen last week. And now everyday she asks if I have more...

We get 3-5 a day, but we have them for breakfast on the weekends, and had some for dinner yesterday (poached over mushrooms..mmmmm)
I'll get a few more layers in the late winter, early spring but..

In two days I only got 2 eggs, from 4 layers. UGH
