Texas BYC Cafe

Lately they have had dominiques, buff brahmas, silver laced wyandottes and guineas with a few others thrown in. I know they order from Ideal, but not sure where else.

There are tons of yellow chicks but when you start adding color to them it narrows down the varieties a little. Not much help to me though. I can tell you they are a chicken and that is about it. I do much better with the adult birds. :)

Yeah, they we're in with the guineas but I know they aren't keets...
The keets are pretty though. They had some all white and some silver striped babies.
The keets are a lot leaner than the chicks though.

They still had the others, but in the bigger pen, since they were older.
It's fine. I'll obsess about if for a few hours then chill out.

It's just the second time I've seen those guys and I wanted some the first time too lol

Keets are pretty unique looking. I like them. :) I want to get some French Guineas.

You could always call and ask.

Maybe they are a light brahma.

I'm moving to Axle Tx this year and was wondering can you have chickens near or in the city limits and if so how many?
Welcome! If you check the city's web site you should be able to find out. Look under Codes. Sometimes they are hard to figure out so a quick call may be easier. :)

Do you currently have chickens?

Edit: Their code is pretty straight forward.
Sec. 2.115 Fowl

(a) It is unlawful for any person to keep or harbor any fowl within the city unless such fowl are retained in a secure pen or enclosure for retention purposes.
(b) It is unlawful for any person to permit, suffer or allow any chicken, duck, turkey, goose or other fowl, owned, kept or possessed by him or under his control to wander in or upon or invade the premises of any other person.
(1987 Municipal Code, Title 6, Chapter 6.04, Section 6.04.150)

The code is for inside the city limits. Outside the limits things would change. Not sure what to, but I would guess a more farm like situation. That is how it is where I live.

What kind of chickens do you have? We like photos. :)

Here are a few of my lovely chicks at 2-3 months. These are typical Vietnam GaNoi.
