I decided not ride my bike this morning because it looked a lot like rain. It won't rain now because of that. lol!
I mowed and trimmed the yard instead and started to paint the trim on the garage. That might make it rain. I had to stop to work my 'real' job though.

I didn't like the windows painted white. Too much white....

I painted them to match the front and back door on the house and the side door on the garage will also be this color. I need to touch up the line of white I left between the blue and brown. I need to find a fine paintbrush. This is the same color scheme for the house too.

The house and garage look like they belong together for the first time ever! I have so much painting left to do. I wish I could get people to help me.

We have to make a trip to Houston for my brother's graduation on Tues and I know that's at least $100 in gas

Hi. Hope I am doing this right to reply. I got the Jubilee eggs from California (an eBay auction). Wow- $80 for a chick - I guess I did ok even though I only hatched one out of the 5 I got- it cost me less than 80 And the excitement of hatching added as a bonus.
Here is a picture of Fuzzy- our first ever hatched chick.

Hi. I live north of I10 on Morton Road- just past Pitts Road. ( we are a little west of old town Katy in Waller County). We moved out here last summer for the schools but decided if we were going to leave the city we wanted to get a couple of acres and enjoy the country Really love it out here. I think you are pretty close to us- at least it appears so on the map.

Welcome to the cafe! Love the pic of your Jubilee! I want to get some more Orps next year when I expand my flock.

Found 2 of the missing chicks, too late.
Neighbor caught me at lunch and told me my chickens had gotten out and her 2 labs had gotten two of them.
She said she didn't realize until it was too late.
I ran back to my yard and all of the ladies were just chilling...
So the chickens the dogs got must have been 2 of those missing chicks...
I inspected my fence and found a 3 in chip in the bottom of one of the fence planks, behind the trees/bushes.
It's the only way they could have gotten back there....

Bummer! I was hoping they would come back. At least you found out how they got out.

I like!!! I vote to keep the windows blue. Gives it a little contrast and makes it look more like glass.



We've had rain off/on all day. In fact, it's thundering now and just finished a short hard rain. DH got rained out, so we made a trip into Lowe's. He needed to get a light to put up in his shop, and while there, he wanted to pick up some posts to start my outside run. Yay!!

My computer is getting an upgrade this weekend so I will be off here. I have a ton of work to do (painting, cleaning and what ever else needs to be done around here) this weekend so it is just as well that my computer will be gone. I do have my phone still though.... Can't go totally off grid just like that!
