That second pic looks like the legbar female
Lav orp chick below that
red/tan chicks with the feathered feet are probably the bramas...or I guess it could be a sizzle, if they're C ochins...I love guessing! Lol

Yeah I think the egg was even a little big for her. It had a little of what looked like blood on it. But she was acting fine. I bought oyster shell and a few egg cartons today...and resisted the bins of ducklings, quail, guineas, bantam and barred Rocks. I got excited for a minute and asked what the black chicks were, hoping they were australorps. Lol
I love that feed store. Guy climbed up to the top shelf, just to grab me 3 egg cartons AND was nice about it lol

I'm switching Sasha over to D&L Complete Canine dog food. It's only $0.62 per pound as opposed to $1.39 per pound that I am a currently paying. I'm going to have to stay away from that part of the store.

Hubby was home for 3 weeks when we went on vacation then gone one week to work and then back home for his regular 2 weeks! He is driving me crazy!! Lol. I'm a treat him like a King kind of wife. Wait on him hand and foot, spend all my time with him when he is home. But I need the two weeks away to get over the two weeks home! Lol. He is a hard worker and being away from you family half a year every year is hard on any one so I baby him when he is home but he was only gone for one week this last time and I am already counting down to leave date again! LOL

He did go out to the coop with me earlier while I turned over the littler and put fresh down, checked on the babies, gave some treats to isolated BCM and to my silkies in their KFC popcorn chicken safe house.

I've been working on a drawing for my new coop to house all my chickens. I'm trying to put breeding stalls in it with their own runs, a juvy stall with run and then a general population coop/stall with large pen. Having all the pens connected that way in the winter months when I'm not breeding they can all run to gather, perhaps. Oh and a bamton coop/stall and pen. But it's still in the works. I want a storage area where I can also have incubators installed at some point also. Mind you this is a "dream" coop! Lol

I think hubby is tired of hearing me chicken talk. So I tried house remodeling talk and he wasn't into that either. So I'm now doing laundry!

Your dream coop sounds nice! I'm sure he kept thinking the whole time it was going to be more work for him to do! LOLOL

I enjoy my "me" time to. My DH is working this weekend, so it's been nice here alone today.

Yay for more eggs! Glad she's using the nests. Hopefully the others will join her.

Here is what I did today in my coop:

I made my grit and oyster shell feeders. i got tired of the chickens always flipping over the grit bowl and getting it all dirty. I knew they would do the same when it came time to put out the oysters shells. The left one is filled with grit and works great. The other one is still empty waiting on an egg to arrive from my current flock. I'll have to check after it rains to make sure rain doesn't get into them. Water does get on the pipes when I water the garden, but not in the grit.
