Good Morning,
I am new to this chicken thing and have been stalking BYC for about 8 weeks. I am from El Paso. I have a mixed breed group of 5 hens or I hope all hens. They are all 6 weeks and a few days old. Hope to be able to post pics from home later maybe. They are all on my phone. Having fun with my girls and the personalities are great. Hope to keep them around for years to come(if hubby agrees to be the crazy chicken guy to my crazy chicken lady). Hope y'all have a great day!

I know what you mean. I was not on here last Saturday for 10 hours when I got back there was over 120 post. I thought I talked a lot on here but there is one person who has over 1,100 post and only been on site for about 5 weeks! I see people who has been on here for years not have that many. Just saying!!!

I'm too busy, I can't keep up!
I'm lucky to sneak on at work or after everyone's tucked in for the night lol

There's another Texas thread that moves much faster too, if you're interested.
But I can tell you that everyone here is super friendly and helpful!
And knowledgeable!!

I started chickens in January and have enjoyed almost every minute of it (minus some chick losses).
I have a mixed flock of 7, plus 4 foster peeps!
It's crazy how different all their personalities are!

Guys you are killing me here! Sigh..... At the beginning of the year my husband decided to remodel the kitchen cabinets. He then surprised me by saying we were getting a dishwasher and new stove! I was running around (excited) getting ideas of what I wanted when we found out we needed a new roof. The kitchen remodeling has been put on the back burner for now. We are trying to find a good quote for our roof. We are getting prices for metal and shingles.

Lovingmyhens that is exactly the type burners I want. I can put my large canning pan on that stove and it won't be sticking over the edge of the burners.

Okay you two, tell me about the convection side. What do you think of it and do you use it a lot?

I love the convection part. I use it when I bake cookies and roasts. It also works great for pie!
This is my dream range.

If you can afford a metal roof go with that. Do your research and you will never need a new roof again. I can recommend my roofer. Not sure he will go to you though.

Why was I not told y'all was over here talking. Just leave me like that. Got to thinking I had not seen Lisa in a while. Made a comment about her yesterday and she did not say anything back. So I went looking for her today and find y'all all hiding from me. I feel so a lone !!

I got 15 RIR hens , 15(now14) BR hens and 6 Dark Cornish Roosters. The turkeys are growing fast here are some pics of the turkeys and new birds. And the pen I am working on noes for the EE that are 11 weeks old.

Well Harley if that map holds true, both of us will get wet. I saw a similar map last night. Nothing happened. I keep going outside to make sure I don't have an umbrella over my house!

I got my side door put on the garage yesterday. Every improvement I make to the garage makes what is original look worse! I'm hoping a new coat of paint (will match my brick) will make it all look better.

I'm going to get some patio squares for a stoop for the door. They are on sale at HD right now for $0.99. I think 6 should do it and I get lose the rocks that are currently there.

I was daydreaming over a Lowe's ad yesterday. Lol. Then I passed Calloway's on the way to drop the kids off.

That is the Australian price. I don't think you can get those in the USA. I'd like a dual fuel like that one. I'd like one gas oven to go with the electric ovens.
