i'm sure they can mail it to you. their number is 800-550.8242. tell them you need to register your fowl and they'll direct you to the right person.

the typhoid, the tester will have his computer and printer in the truck and will print it out for you right there since both you an the tester has to sign it with blue ink.

If so....taxes at work

yup. the state only takes your money if you register your flock so you can sell it off premises. testing is free. the state wants to make sure and eradicate (sp?) the disease and so keeping the testing free helps with that cause.

And for comparison, California breeders have told me (I live in Az not Ca) that the cost for NPIP testing is so high that virtually no small breeder can afford it, and therefore they don't.

cool....im waiting on some new chickies to come in next week....once they get of age ill start working on this. How old do they have to be for the testing?

well, the other reason the state wants us to test is because there is a HUGE poultry business in texas that leaves out of port of houston. if anything happens in texas, the shipments would get stopped, causing major loss in the poultry industry by the millions. so i'm sure the poultry lobbyists are paying for the testing services.

you know, i've never addressed that question. my birds we around 4 months when he first came, but he didn't even test those because they were from mcmurray. i had bought some older birds from a trade day and so he tested them. if they weren't clean, he would have tested the mcmurray birds.
