The cardboard box

The trashbag wrapped around the cardboard box

The tinfoil placed in the bottom of the box

The plastic top (was one of those cheap poster frame pieces of plastic) with the tape I used to hold it down

The lamp shining in the box. I have a washcloth I dampen whenever I think the humidity is too low. I also have to hand turn the eggs.

if you have veins.. and a dark spot.. the dark spot should be the eye

I have veins and two dark spots kind of connected. I'll try to get a pic when DH is home so he can hold the egg and I can take the pic.

ETA I'll try real quick to do one here at home.

ReETA I have one so far that is looking good. I think it may have gotten too hot at one point. But I can't be for certain since I am using an old termometer. Maybe I can get DH to get me a new one on his way home.

I would need to see them in better light and a good standing side shot of the body....but those red combs and wattles on #2 are not saying pullets.

Well, my SS#1 is visiting for a while. May be living here for quite some time...but, we put him to work.

They designed the sign:

Then they painted it. Pretty colour!!

And, now she's almost done.

We still have to put the roosts in, the stairs and ramp in the back and divide the nesting boxes; but, for the most part, she's done! I'm trying to convince Mike that we need hitching posts out front. He has made a sign, though...it is a small "chalkboard" sign that has the rates of the hotel on it.

Daily = 1 egg
Weekly = 5 eggs
Meals included

That cracked me up.

He's chomping at the bit to get started on The Broken Yolk; but, I refuse to let him until he finishes the "nit pick" work on this one
